SAMPLE COLORIZED VERSIONS OF HANDOUT GRAPHICS:
I developed a series of handouts for UW physiology and biology courses I taught. These colorized versions were for projection, to complement the monochrome copies the students received. Below are examples of 4 of the series. Many were adopted by other instructors for use in their bio courses. Click on text links to view the graphics. Compressed web format will probably degrade the quality and detail somewhat.
muscle structure
membrane structure (duotone version)
neuromuscular junction physiology

CHAPTER OPENER GRAPHICS FOR ECOLOGY TEXTBOOK:
These graphics were done in collaboration with the author and Sinauer Associates for an ecology textbook. The opener graphics were designed to be bold and rather "unconventional." to match the non-traditional approach to the thematic material. Unfortunately, though 10 of 13 cover graphics were completed, the book was not completed and the project has been put on hold (but I got paid).
Click on linked hypertext links to open each chapter graphic in jpg format (compression may result in reduced quality of gradients and edge detail and some loss of accurate color information). Titles are provisional (ones that the author gave me quite awhile back). Because they could change and the full details of typographic layout hadn't been decided, I used a generic placer template for titling chapters, but you can get the overall idea.
